We are starting this petition to express our concerns and opposition to the recent changes approved by the School Board regarding school start times for the 2024-2025 school year. By signing this petition, we hope to convey our opposition to the current changes and advocate for all of the students, parents, and teacher in the Anchorage School District that the majority opinion does not support the school time change. We believe that we need to act because if the time change goes into effect it will affect the majority of businesses and organizations as well, with High schoolers getting out later, there will be less people being able to work the hours that businesses need. It will also be harder for after school activities and sports to work with this new schedule. Please sign today to right this mistake.
