Community Update: July 2025

I want to thank everyone who has supported this journey your voices, signatures, and solidarity continue to give this movement strength.

As of this week:

✅ I have officially written to the Manitoba Ombudsman, and my complaint has been forwarded to their Intake Team for triage and further review.

✅ I have contacted my MLA and members of Parliament, ensuring that those elected to uphold justice are fully aware of the harm that has taken place.

⏳ I am still waiting for a formal update from the Manitoba Professional Planners Institute (MPPI) regarding the status of my complaint against John Wintrup despite multiple submissions, confirmations of receipt, and follow-up communications.

This remains a fight not only for accountability, but for the protection of ceremony, community, and sacred Indigenous spaces. We are holding institutions to their word and demanding they meet their responsibilities with transparency, cultural safety, and care.
