Dear supporters,
Thank you all for continuing to walk with me on this journey. I want to share a significant development that confirms the power of our collective voices and the importance of what we are doing together.
This week, I received an official response from the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP) the national body that oversees ethical standards for planners across Canada. They have acknowledged my complaint and confirmed that they’ve asked the Manitoba Professional Planners Institute (MPPI) to keep them informed of the outcome of their review.
While CIP does not have direct authority to intervene in provincial regulatory matters, their awareness and monitoring of this issue means that this complaint is no longer being handled in isolation. It is now being watched nationally and that matters.
Even more importantly, this petition continues to receive signatures from:
Status and Non-Status First Nations and Métis supporters
Professionals in law, medicine, policy, and agriculture
Individuals from 3 different countries
And even a military member who stood in solidarity
This shows that our concerns are not isolated they are shared, visible, and growing.
This is not just a local complaint.
It is a matter of cultural safety, truth, and accountability.
And now, it’s being recognized far beyond the original instiinstitutio
Thank you for standing with me and for reminding these systems that we are still here, we are still watching, and we are not backing down.
With gratitude and fire,
Diane Bousquet
