Gang violence is a huge problem in multiple cities including Chicago. A lot of this problem is because there are 8 times as many gang members than cops. We want to help solve this problem and protect innocent people from getting hurt, by sending more police officers out in high gang populated areas. Another part of this issue is the amount of people caught when they murder someone. When someone does something illegal most think it is okay to do it again. Increasing police force in these high-violence areas will help control the gangs and find the people doing these bad things. Chicago’s superintendent of police has the power to change this.
