Stop Climate changes impact on marine wildlife

Stop Climate changes impact on marine wildlife
The Issue
Right now, globally, it is estimated that over 100 million marine animals are killed each year by plastic waste. Do you really want to live in a world with disasters happening every day?
Climate change affects marine life awfully, such as polar caps melting and ruining habitats underwater due to unnaturally warm water temperatures. Climate change is also causing extreme temperatures, and with rising crisis, it creates a difficult position for wildlife across the globe.
Natural corals absorb carbon dioxide, so coral reefs could almost act as a cleanser for carbon. But unfortunately, coral reefs have depleted by 50% in the last few years and it is estimated that by 2050, 90% of the worlds coral reefs will be gone. During this period, wildlife who may have settled in will now have to leave their homes, causing a major ecosystem change. Predators who may have relied on those fish or marine creature for a food source will now have to find a new one. Fish that lived inside kelp meadows or seagrass clumps will now have to find a new home. It may not be a change for you, but eventually it will be a problem for all of us.
Ocean acidification is also going to grow into a major problem if there a solution isn’t found by the time it gets serious. Ocean acidification is a process of when remaining carbon dioxide floats down into the ocean and slowly acidifies the water below. The marine creatures inhale these toxins, and we then eat the fish, which means every predator at the top of the food chain will have the same affects as suffered by animals. So now that we understand that C02 can be deadly, it’s time to make a change in our behaviour.
So with Climate change making it’s mark, we need to make ours. After receiving over 100 signatures, I will be writing a letter to the prime minister to inspire him to make a difference.
Thank you for visiting my petition, I hope we can make a difference.
Remember; you never invisible. Continue my petition and make your voice be heard!
