I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone, children, parents, and grandparents who have reached out to me and shared some of their heart-breaking stories. In addition, I would like to thank everyone who has signed and/or shared this petition which in the not-too-distant future I hope will be a tool that can be used that will support the children.
There were three reasons this petition was started;
Firstly – to give the students that have been subjected to various forms of assaults or abuse some closure and let them know people believe them and are fighting for them;
Secondly – to address and stop the abuse and toxic cultures in schools; and
Thirdly – to hold the perpetrators of the abuse accountable for their actions and to ensure that those who witness the abuse and do nothing are just as guilty.
