Help Save Play in Michigan!
Douglas, MI residents Kate and Heather have been fighting since 2006 to close the playground at an Early Childhood Center (ECC) next to their home. In response to their complaints about noise, the state of Michigan recently ordered the Saugatuck Public Schools to "immediately cease and desist" from using the playground. At the time, the playground was being used for only 30 minutes a day.
Help save play in Michigan! Contact state official Todd Cordill, who issued the cease-and-desist order, and express your support for continued use of the ECC playground.

I recently read about the cease-and-desist order you sent to the Early Childhood Center playground in Douglas. As far as I can tell, the Saugatuck Public School system has done everything within its power to comply with state regulations. The playground is only being used during normal school hours, which is ordinary and customary usage.
To close the playground means depriving young children of 30 minutes of daily, outdoor play. Please don't take that away from them! I am writing to urge you to revoke your cease-and-desist order.
Thank you for your time.
