One of the last remaining undeveloped green spaces in Forder Valler is under threat. The land in between the British Legion and the Christmas Tree Farm on Fort Austin Avenue is set to have three houses built on it and a footpath.

We need urgent assurance that the wildlife that lives in this area will be protected and call on planners to carry out a proper wildlife survey of the area before any development is allowed. 

We raise concerns for the following reasons:

Principle - This is small piece of land that needs to be protected. There is a thriving badger community that live. Badgers are protected by law so we are deeply concerned about the decision to build here. 

Disturbance - not only is there a large amount of wildlife in this area this would be a huge disturbance to residents. A public footpath will cause increased disturbance to wildlife. 

Road safety - For Austin Avenue is a particularly busy road to allow these houses with 6 parking spaces, plus delivery vans/ visitors, all piling into that tiny area is an accident waiting to happen.
