“Hatcher Hill” in Lantana, Florida is on a natural ridge with 100+ mango trees that were planted by the Hatcher family,
a mango farm owned by the Hatcher family for decades.

John and Pearl Hatcher were the original owners of the property, who owned & operated a plant nursery on the hill

John Hatcher
Planted the first Hatcher mango trees in the late 1940s

Richard Hatcher
John's youngest son, who took over the business after retiring from his job as an airline inspector

Marilynn Hatcher
Richard's wife, who opened the mango stand to the public with her husband in 1983

John Hatcher crossbred at least two mango cultivars, the Haden and the Brooks, to create the Hatcher mango.

The Hatcher mango is known for its large size, sweet flavor, smooth texture, and small seeds

The property was put up for sale by a family trust. Hatcher hill is currently for sale for $5,000,000 and is also zoned for future commercial use.
