This article describe deputy prosecutors who were told by the elected prosecutor it to amend any charges even when suggested otherwise by the prosecutor on the case. In Taira’s case she was recommended to have Assault 2 by the prosecutor on the case but was charged with Assault 1 anyway. Will need to prove she belongs to this group of people but it certainly seems like it and shows corruption regardless.
