Help Rap-aid football get hundreds of children back into New River Sports centre

Help Rap-aid football get hundreds of children back into New River Sports centre
The Issue
Haringey council made the decision to stop Rap-aid youth football from providing football training to hundreds of children and young people aged between 3-16, with no real reason. These young people travel from all over, not just Haringey. Rap-aid have provided training for hundreds of children at New River Sports centre for 7 years and in December, they were informed during the snow days that they were to tell the children before Christmas, that they would not be returning back to football in January. For some people, like my daughter, this is devastating news and Rap-aid has been an outlet for most children, as well as them feeling a part of this amazing football family. Many youths come back to visit as young men and women, sharing how much Rap-aid did for them as youths. For many of these children and young people, this is the only thing that keeps them going and keeps their behavior in check in other areas of their lives. The impact is massive. Rap-aid provides affordable football training, especially when you have multiple children. The fact the Council believe this is ok and that there will not be a deep ripple affect and impact on these children as well as us as parents, is absolutely ridiculous. We are going to make noise and be heard. Please support us by signing this petition and helping to get our children back into something that could potentially save their lives, and keep them off the streets.
