In high-stakes fields like healthcare, clarity, accuracy, and ethical decision-making depend on “professionals” and “systems” that does not truly acknowledge the IMPORTANCE of patient rights! Furthermore, ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY ARE NECESSARY when QUALITY OF LIFE is a factor! I’ve launched this petition advocating for proper Tolling, stronger standards around TRUE informed consent, disclosure, and accountability ESPECIALLY when genetic information is later reclassified, and life-altering medical decisions were made based on OUTDATED information. Healthcare isn’t just about wellness — it’s about safety, ethics, and TRUST! Having had an unnecessary Double Mastectomy, and only coming to that knowledge AFTER THE FACT is not the definition of health CARE! Additionally, as the “law” would have it, the STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS in Va does not have a suitable discovery, and that needs to be reformed expeditiously because this Petition scenario could soon be YOU! With that being said, this petition is not just about me, it’s about EVERY WOMAN/MAN who has undergone an unnecessary procedure where MATERIAL FACTS were skewed to facilitate a paycheck! In my case, MATERIAL FACTS outlined a BENIGN BIOPSY, MAMMOGRAM, and a RECLASSIFIED as Benign Genetic testing. Yet, medical records notated BRCA vs VUS under BRCA (which was RECLASSIFIED), AND CANCER documented, which I never had! How does this align with INFORMED CONSENT? It does NOT! Why? Because you cannot consent to something based on falsity when Material FACTS are apparent! Yet unbeknownst to me I was NOT aware of the Reclassification until now! What I was told was “it wasn’t a matter of IF, but WHEN I get Cancer” based on a BRCA gene that I did NOT have! This is unsettling because now I’m dealing with so many health issues stemming from these implants that I would NOT have had BUT FOR this erroneous surgery! Please stand with me as I stand with others in this same situation to require a proper TOLLING that is EQUAL and FAIR and JUST for ALL! Not a TOLLING that is STATE dependent! As a reminder: The definition of JUSTICE is best described as fair, equitable, and impartial treatment or the administration of law, ensuring each person receives what they are due or deserve, balancing rights, fairness, and moral rightness in society's systems and actions. It encompasses concepts like equality, ACCOUNTABILITY, and the upholding of moral principles! As such; when systems are unclear, or errors are made and hidden, the burden subsequently shifts to the individuals that were harmed AS OPPOSED TO THE ONES WHO SHOULD BE HELD TO THE OATH “TO DO NO HARM”!
