Dear President Biden,

We need you to hear us please. We, signed below,  are a group of Iranian-American, by definition, citizens of the United States of America. We are tremendously proud of both parts of our hyphenated adjective, one reminds us of where we came from and the other describes who we are and where we are heading. According to US census, there are about 1 million  Iranian-American in United States, rather small community but we are amongst the most educated people in the US,  with majority being lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs and all around Iraniam-American have demonstrated that we are one of the most successful migrant communities and our contribution to our new country is nothing but positive. The majority of the people signed below have voted for you and democratic party in the past, now we need for you to hear us. 

Iranians are protesting the Iranian Government's brutality and incompetence, and they need you. 

• Iranians, specialty Iranian women are under heavy repressive government, they are beaten, humiliated, raped and killed in the name of sometimes Islam, other times family honors, but all comes dowm to toxic masculinity and control by the government. Women are second class citizens in Iran, even though most are more educated than their male counterparts.US has framed its views as a human-right advocate, these women are human and their rights are getting violated every day. Why is there no response from the US?

•  But, it is not just dark days for women, young people, men and women are trapped in a society with no future. The western world has put sanctions after sanctions to punish the government, but as we all know, they are only hurting the people, not the powerful and rich in Iran.  The young and talented hope is to be able to migrate to a western country which these days,  they face anti-immigration laws and ideologies with a load of humiliation . Helping the protesters overturn the government will eliminate or severely reduce the migration from Iran, one less country to deal with, isn’t that what western world wants? Lower immigration rate?

• Our gas prices are high here, and Iran is a producer of oil. Wouldn't having a western friendly ally country help with the oil production and prices globally, including the United States?

• We realize that you are in the middle of the negotiation with Iranian government to reach a nuclear deal. We constantly hear in the news that Iranian Government are nothing short of terrorists , there have been sanctions and this and that, nothing more than a lip service for a brutal government. The threat of nuclear weapons and  production of  enriched uranium has been on the news and the summits for as long as we can remember. We are not politicians, but it is not clear or logical to us  that instead of jumping on the chance to eliminate the nuclear threat, The US prefers to negotiate and reach a deal that it is clear they will not honor for long.

• You want Iran to be independent and choose their own destiny, that is admirable and quite reasonable and that’s what every Iranian wants. So far twice, Iranian people have gone in the streets and risked their lives, literally, and nothing from the west, just comments that we are behind you. They need more than that to be successful. They need support from the world, especially the US if they are to be successful this time. 

Please, please help the people to end the rule of Islamic Republic. Iranians all over the world are shouting and begging for help. The United States is our country, no doubt, but we have strong ties to our past and our past is being destroyed by an authoritarian government that is forcing the mix of their version of religious rules in the social rule of law.

Thousands of innocent people have been arrested and held in prisons in the worst possible conditions. They are being beaten to death and many are awaiting their execution without prosecution.

Many of Our celebrities and journalists are being arrested because they expressed their opposition with the brutal actions of regime, are their life is in danger.

people of Iran are under tremendous pressure of tge dictatorship of regime.Many lives are lost and many more at risk.
