This is another of the voices that City of Toronto officials have tried to silence. On March 10, 2021, controversial local Councillor John Filion led a bid to destroy the quiet peaceful green treed parklands that form part of the residence housing over 600 seniors.

Filion and Abigail "Abi" Bond (the newly arrived $200,000 a year Toronto Housing Czar) claim but refuse to provide any evidence, that these parklands are the ONLY PLACE THEY CAN FIND IN THE ENTIRE CITY to drop 64 prefabricated single person living units. Those prefab units will be used to house homeless men from across the City with serious mental and addiction needs - far away from all the vital supports located in downtown Toronto.

Affected residents were kept in the dark while Councillor Filion (who sold his $3M home in the neighborhood and moved away from the community he represents) slammed those asking questions as "obnoxious".

Worse, the City is asking the Ontario Government to grant it immunity so that citizens will lose all rights to question or appeal this secret process.
