One of many VOICES OF WILLOWDALE that City of Toronto officials have attempted to silence in their pandemic political power grab.

Upset and worried family members of the 600 elderly residents who live in Willowdale Manor and Cummer Lodge long term care and supportive housing for seniors run by the City of Toronto.

While the local Councillor John Filion claimed huge community support for this secret plan, in  reality 100% of the AFFECTED residents of these homes and the neighborhood were kept in the dark.

On March 10, zero pre-consultation and zero transparency, Filion lead a City  decision  to take the treed parklands that form part of the seniors residences. 

City officials  claim an "emergency need" for property on which the city will permanently place prefabricated living units for the homeless. And they claim, refusing to provide any evidence, that this park on a seniors residence is the ONLY PLACE they can find!
