It has been declared in the budget that there is money available for an Insurance comparison website for North Queensland and up to $12.5 million for engineering assessment grants. These grants will be able to be accessed by strata properties to undertake proper risk assessment and mitigation reports. My comment: It's a start. The web site, hopefully, will be of benefit to house owners and businesses, so people can get comparisons between companies, but it's going to look a little silly for strata properties with only 2 entries, and it's unlikely to include ISR policy options.
