My daughter's father has been unjustly incarcerated . He has already served a significant amount of time and deserves to be released.

According to the Prison Policy Initiative, the United States incarcerates more people per capita than any other country in the world. This system disproportionately affects communities of color and low-income individuals.

In addition, studies have shown that incarceration does not effectively reduce crime rates or rehabilitate offenders. Instead, it often leads to further criminal behavior and perpetuates cycles of poverty and trauma.

My daughter's father is a loving parent who has made mistakes but is committed to turning his life around. He deserves a second chance and the opportunity to be with his family again.

I urge those in power to consider alternatives to incarceration such as community service or rehabilitation programs. Let us work towards a more just and compassionate criminal justice system that prioritizes healing over punishment.
