My sister and I live in less than ideal conditions in London, a situation we refer to as our "dung hole." This is the reality for countless impoverished individuals and families who lack the opportunities to escape poverty due to limited educational resources. According to the UK Government Social Mobility Commission, London has the highest proportion of children with entitlement to free school meals attending underperforming secondary schools We demand that the local government fund education opportunities for those living in poverty, such as myself and my sister. By providing these opportunities, it is possible to break the cycle of deprivation and offer every young person in London a chance for a better future.
