To the Honorable Court System, Adult Protective Services, Human Rights Advocates, Elder Justice Leaders, and the General Public My name is Mrs. Puskas, and I am begging the world to listen before it’s too late. My husband, Al Puskas, is an elderly man, a loving father, and the rightful owner of National Fail Safe (NFS) a company he built from the ground up. He has dementia and is currently being held against his will, isolated from his wife and children, due to the selfish greed and manipulation of two people: Curt Walter Puskas and his wife Vanessa Susanna Puskas. Since 2023, Curt and Vanessa who were never part of our lives kidnapped, isolated, and manipulated my husband, forging documents to seize control of his company, our family home, and finances. As a result, our family has been ripped apart. Our children are suffering. I, his legal wife, am powerless, not because we did anything wrong, but because I am a Black woman, and our voices are being ignored. Despite medical advice stating that my husband should be at home with his family where he would receive love, familiarity, and comfort he is locked away, begging to return to us. Meanwhile, the people who tore our family apart are being believed over a wife who has stood by her husband for years. This is not just about legal guardianship. This is about racism, abuse of power, and a failure of justice. This is about a husband being denied the right to be with his wife and children. This is about a Black family being erased and destroyed in plain sight. Why This Matters: • Al Puskas is a senior with dementia. He is not a criminal. • He is being wrongfully isolated from his family. • His assets, home, and company have been taken through fraud and forgery. • His wife and children are facing emotional trauma, financial ruin, and discrimination. • The system has refused to act, even after being presented with evidence. If this can happen to us, it can happen to any family—especially if they are Black or vulnerable. We demand: 1. Immediate investigation into the actions of Curt and Vanessa Puskas. 2. Restoration of legal access to Al Puskas by his rightful wife and children. 3. Reunification of Mr. Puskas with his family in the home he owns. 4. Legal accountability for those who have forged documents and abused elder rights. 5. A public review of elder conservatorship, abuse, racism, and family separation.
