On September 24, 2023, four individuals were shot at Cru Lounge in Washington, DC. Unfortunately, one of the individuals, Blake Bozeman, succumb to his injuries at a near by hospital.

Cru Lounge failed to follow multiple regulations and procedures previously set in place to eliminate crime in its establishment. Due to their negligence, this incident was able to occur. The night club hired security that weren’t licensed to operate in DC. Therefore, proper security measures weren’t in place. Cru Lounge’s employees also tampered with evidence at the scene which interfered with an ongoing police investigation.

After months of being shut down, Cru Lounge has now received new guidelines in order to reopen. However, Cru Lounge has already proven their incompetence to operate and provide our families safe places to enjoy themselves especially with the shooter still on the loose. Why should they be granted a second chance when Blake will never have a second chance to spend time with his children?
