We have started this petition with alarm as we have noticed numerous, major concerns, that come about the past few months, involving Modivcare and their quality of care. This involves the Long Island, New York branch of Modivcare.

RES HOME Care is one of many agencies that works with disabled participants who have suffered traumatic brain injuries, and are part of the NY TBI Medicaid Waiver Program as well as persons who have major medical ailments/ diagnoses, and are of the NY NHTD Medicaid Waiver.

These clients are not able to receive the services they are entitled to. They are missing day program, doctor’s appointments, medical procedures, social trips, and substance abuse support appointments. These clients cannot continue to miss medical appointments, putting their health at risk or miss their structured day program which puts their social emotional health at risk or miss substance abuse support appointments, which puts their sobriety at risk, due to last minute cancellations of trips every single day.

There have been numerous call and complaints to Modivcare over the past few months. But there has been no action to fix these issues. So now we ask you voice your concern as we know it has not just been happening to one agency but to many more across Long Island and possibly across state of New York as well.
