On May 26, 2023 many streaming service original shows and movies were removed from Disney Plus including Stargirl and Hollywood Stargirl. Because the movies were Disney Plus originals and not meant to be released into theaters they were never released onto DVDs. The movies were based on a book series by Jerry Spinelli that inspired people all over the world so much that many fans created Stargirl Society Groups because of its messages about kindness, Non-conformity, and how small acts can change peoples lives. Everyone who worked on the beautiful movie adaptations loved bringing Stargirl to life on the screen and were heartbroken when the movies were removed from Disney Plus. Stargirl Stories have had a big impact on people around the world and if the movies are never released onto DVD they'll be forgotten.
