For years, animals have been mistreated in the streets and shelters, they dont have the same social skills as other animals and lack medical help, similar to a prisoner. These animlas haven't gotten their chance of living a life, they are stuck in cages all day with no social life. Owners have even surrendered their dogs to shelter leaving them confused and scared waiting for the person they loved so much to come back, yet they never will. There are breeders out there who breed dogs for a living without caring for their animals just letting them give birth, popping out more animals for them to end up in the streets, killed, or back in the shelter. All because of money and irresponsibility. Why spend hundreds of dollars for an animal off of a backyard breeder when you can find the same pet at a shelter and for less money. It is safer for an animal to be a mix breed than a full breed because they have a combination of genes causing them to live longer with all the good qualities from all differnt animals. Adopting is just the way to go, you spend less money, and have a companion by your side that is typically more loyal.
