I'm passing your energy complaints straight to Ofgem, so let me have them
Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a great festive break! I've been offline a little over the festive period as I needed to rest and catch up with family. But I'm back now and already working hard on doing what I can to get our changes through.
There are three updates I want to provide you today:
- My monthly meeting with Ofgem is the 18th this month. I want to let them know what people are really struggling with, so please email me at Richard@over50smoney.com and let me know what your biggest issues are. I've heard some people have been auto-switched to pre-payment meters, others have had massive bills come through which they aren't liable for, others have been unable to contact their suppliers, etc. if you've experienced anything like this, please let me know before the 18th.
- I've responded to two Ofgem consultations this week. One is the EBIT consultation, the other is their Programme of Work consultation in which I formally requested the review of the Headroom allowance. I'll post both of my official responses on my website (Over50smoney.com) early next week and send out another update with the links incase you're interested.
- I wanted to remind you (or let you know if you've only recently signed the petition) that we have an energy guide on our website that may be quite helpful to you. That's it from me so far. I'm still planning to do the #10 Downing Street hand-in, hoping for the end of this month, but i'll keep you updated on that. In the meantime, please keep sharing this petition online, it'd be great to present the government with a petition that is half-a-million strong!
Oh and thank you to everyone that's sent such kind a supportive messages over the last couple of months, I really appreciate the support you're all giving and receiving these kind emails reminds me that this petition is here to help real people and will make such a positive difference to everyone.
