Coming from a student whose life Turner significantly impacts. The news of Mr. Turner’s transfer to Central doesn’t sit right with a lot of us. With Turner being of huge impact on our school life’s, having a change like this will not be beneficial for the high school. Although Students at Central middle school needs assistance, we need structure. Ever since 2022 we have been dealing with change. From moving buildings, to the change of staff, leading to the change of policy in the district. We have no chance to gain stability. Becoming one campus this fall really gave us an opportunity to make connections like never before. But how do you expect us to feel a sense of belonging if everything we’re used to keep’s shifting? A lot can speak on the difference Mr. Turner’s roll in the high school has, but even more can speak on the impact he has made. Down to the encouragement he carries to the attitude he brings. Bringing out the smiles on kids faces regardless of the struggle gone through outside of those school doors. Decisions have been made by people who don’t get to experience this first hand. People who assume their decisions are going to make positive impacts, without hearing out the group of people it personal impacts. We can come together and voice our opinions about Mr. Turner’s position at the high school. Our voices matter and it’s about time we be heard.
