This comofrt is given through the warm and secure feeling one gets from new socks. To those of us who are blessed with a home, we may not give a thought to socks at all. But to one who is faced with walking all day, sleeping with their shoes on, and not having the opportunity for regular hygiene, new socks are a blessing. Many homeless people requests socks the most when they are asked what they would like.
