    Several news agencies have reported the ambush/killing of local businessman, Rajesh Kumar and forced abduction of his son, Hamesh Kumar. This occurred on the eve of Amnesty International slamming Pakistan for its lack of protection for its minority population in the NWFP, which is in proximity of Quetta.

Case details:  The incident occurred on June 9th,2010 in Quetta.  Mr. Rajesh Kumar was a local businessman in Quetta who was ambushed and killed outside Satellite Town area, Quetta, Pakistan while passing through in his car. His son, Hamesh Kumar, was kidnapped and his whereabouts remain unknown. This is in an area of Pakistan in which the Taliban and its operatives are known to threaten minorities including Christians, Hindus, and Sikhs. The Pakistani government was recently slammed by Amnesty International for its inadequate efforts to protect both refugees and minorities in the Northwest Frontier Province (NWFP) which is in proximity to Quetta, Balochistan.
