Bliss Park is located in the center of Longmeadow. Over the years it has been improved, most recently the trails added to it. However, there is still a lot to do. In our high school action civics project, we want to help bring life back into Bliss Park. If we know that a large amount of the community will back us up, we will start a fundraiser to help put money back into our local park. This includes:

• Repainting the basketball courts
• Cleaning up the preschool area of the park
• Adding a band stage (with the approval of the town and sufficient funding)
• Fixing/removing the tennis courts(with the approval of the town and sufficient funding)
• Adding new trash cans(with sufficient funding)
• re-opening or removing the pool(with help and approval from the town)

Why Us?

We are high school students who grew up in this park. We have seen it at its best when it was only a few years old, and now see it at its worst. We want to give the next generation along with ours a place to connect and build community.
