Help ban "debarking" of dogs in Pennsylvania

Help ban "debarking" of dogs in Pennsylvania

The Issue

Debarking is the surgical removal of tissue from a canine or felines vocal cords preventing them from releasing noise in the form of a bark or meow, or greatly reducing the volume of the sound permanently.

In the US the only two states that have outlawed this unethical, inhumane and cruel procedure are Massachusetts and New Jersey. Please help by signing this petition so we can follow the lead of Massachusetts and New Jersey and get this procedure banned.

Our pets are our family. Animals don’t have the ability to speak the way that we do so we need to be their voice and be the voice for all of the pets who’s owners want to take their voices away.

This procedure is also likely to compromise the health of the animal making aspiration, coughing, gagging and breathing problems more likely as well as many other things.
