The Armadillo Technical Institute Charter School in Phoenix, Oregon launched a survey to change the name of the school to "Armadiilo Community Charter", "Courage Community Charter", or "Elevate Community Charter". We think these names don't fit the school because not only is the mascot an armadillo,(the 2nd and 3rd names won't go well with this mascot). But according to ATI the school is all about "going against the grain". Meanwhile the name Armadillo Technical Institute embodies going against the grain because it doesn't sound like a typical charter school, and that's not what the students who go there want it to be. the school also stated that it wants the Rogue Valley to know that ATI is a charter school while everybody already knows that.(because the school is literally across the street from all the other schools.) but if people for some reason don't know, the name peaks interest because it is different from all the other charter schools in the valley. Plus, the "Armadillo Technical Institute" name is the name we've all grown to love and i would hate to see the history that the name has thrown away for one of these other names. So, Help us keep the Armadillo Technical Institute name!
