Based on new regulations, the state of Massachusetts wants to restrict access to Almeida's Farmstand parking lot by putting in sidewalks across the main access and entrance point. This would reduce access to our parking lot to two - 30 foot - sections to enter and exit our establishment.

This restriction of access would cause a safety issue for our customers entering and exiting the parking lot. This would also increase the amount of traffic and congestion in that area, there by making the area on Route 6 and in our parking lot more hazardous.

We are concerned for the safety of our customers and of our community, so we are in the process of constructing a road in the rear of the stand leading to Gardner's Neck Road. This would be a second option for our customers to enter and leave.

We need to collect signatures to petition the local government to reconsider construction or relocate the sidewalk elsewhere. Construction is slated to last over a year, and will disrupt and potentially irrevocably damage our business due to decreased volume from reduced access.
