"Healthcare community stands with Constitution of Pakistan"

The Issue

The healthcare community of Pakistan is observing the unconstituitional and unethical practices of the current goverment of Pakistan from last few months. The deteriorating law and order situation and rising hostilities towards doctors in the last few years together with the cost-of-living crisis fuelled by sharply rising food and energy prices has left many healthcare providers across the country to meet the daily needs. Moreover,we condemn the government reverting the health policies to protect the interest of politicians thereby destroying the healthcare setup and national institutions.

The health community across Pakistan has deep concerns over the current situation where the goverment delaying the elections for 6 months beyond the due date, ignoring the directives of the Supreme Court and blatantly abrogating the constitution of Pakistan.Articles 224(2) of the constitution of Pakistan mandates that elections should be held within 90 days of dissolution of provincial or national assemblies.

We the healthcare providers across the country demand immediate implementation of rule of law in the country ,where every citizen can exercise their voting rights.
If the elections are delayed most of the healthcare professionals look forward not to work in Pakistan as we are being offered better career incentives and monetary benefits abroad.

By signing this petition, you can show solidarity with the supreme court of Pakistan and help protect Pakistan's constitution and democratic rights of every citizen of Pakistan.
