Sponsor an Institute of Medicine study on PA utilization and Effectiveness

The Issue

As millions of new patients enter the American medical system a shortage of quality primary care providers looms. Physician Assistants/Associates (PAs) are well educated, well trained and highly capable primary and specialty care providers. Neither major medical organizations nor the lay population fully comprehend the potential impact of this profession on the future of American Healthcare. Despite over a half century of providing quality medical care, it is rare for these professionals to be allowed to practice as the full scope of their training and licensure.
