In my college a girl was asked more than twice to remove her brukha/abaya without giving a prior notice which is absolutely wrong and when she asked the reason behind it the coordinator simply said it is not allowed in any college unless it is a muslim minority college. Although it is our right that we should be allowed to wear whatever we want unless it is violating the dress code provided by our education system. As burkha is not a distracting outfit or something it must be allowed. There are many Muslim girls who will not even be allowed to go to college if they don't wear burkha. So just because one outfit muslim women should be kept away from the right to education ? I ask why? Is our indian education system this small? This ignorant? Before being a muslim, hindu, jain, Christian, Sikh or of another religion , we all are indian, isn't this our responsibility to treat everyone equally and with respect?? We compare everything with other countries but would we compare this? Because there it is allowed for a person to wear clothes of their choice unless it is violating the dress code.

Ask yourself "will we allow this to happen?" Will muslim women not be educated just because of this"?
