Why this petition matters

Started by Renee Mcnab

Allira Green was a beautiful, young 23 year-old woman, a soon to be mum and my best friend. She was a beloved daughter and sister. She was excitedly waiting to be a mum for the first time, when her life was taken by the man she loved and thought she could trust. But he savagely took her life away by stabbing her heart whilst she was pregnant resulting in her tragic and untimely death. She had her whole life ahead of her.

The killer, Chirstopher John Anderson is out on parole after just nine and a half years. He is now living in close proximity to Allira’s mother and family, next to the unit where he killed Allira. As Allira’s friends and family, we’re calling on the NSW Parole Board to remove him from the family’s proximity.

This decision is ludicrous and is causing immense hurt and heartache to Allira’s family, especially her mother. We are distraught at the prospect of her mum running into him at the local market or on the street. It is a very emotional time for the family with him being released but for him to walk free in their neighborhood is plain cruel.

The sentence he received did not seem fair nor did it give the family a proper sense of justice for losing Allira and her unborn baby. I’m urging the NSW Parole Board to review the parole conditions in light of the impact his movement in Maroubra is having on the family. This decision is only adding to their pain and nightmare they are living every single day since she was murdered.

This decision by the authorities has larger psychological and emotional impacts on Allira’s family. That man should not be allowed to live so close to his victim’s family or in the same suburb he stole a beautiful life and the life of an unborn child from.

Please sign and share this as much as possible. We should have never lost her. May you rest eternally in the dreamtime, Allira. We will never stop fighting for the rights of you and your loved ones especially your beautiful mum and we will never forget you❤️
