End Contract with Lena Dunham

End Contract with Lena Dunham
The Issue
In her recent memoir "Not That Kind of Girl" Lena Dunham admits to coercion of her underage sister and manipulation of her emotions, by offering her candy to kiss her for prolonged periods of time. Lena Dunham herself, described her own actions as those of a 'sexual predator.'
She is quoted as having masturbated next to her sleeping (minor) sister up to her 17th year of age and described her sister's underage body as ‘sticky and muscular’ which implies or at the very least creates an undertone of sexual attraction as her motivation for such activities.
Lena Dunham has openly admitted to initiating/perpetrating what is clinically titled as Child-on-Child Sexual Abuse. Child-on-Child sexual abuse is a form of child sexual abuse in which a prepubescent child is sexually abused by one or more other children or adolescent youths, and in which no adult is directly involved. The term has been defined as sexual activity between children that occurs "without consent, without equality, or as a result of coercion".[1] This includes when one of the children uses physical force, threats, trickery or emotional manipulation to elicit cooperation. Child-on-child sexual abuse is further differentiated from normative sexual play or anatomical curiosity and exploration (i.e. "playing doctor") because child-on-child sexual abuse is an overt and deliberate action directed at sexual stimulation, including orgasm.[2] In many instances, the initiator exploits the other child's naïveté, and the victim is unaware of the nature of what is happening to them. When sexual abuse is perpetrated by one sibling upon another, it is known as "intersibling abuse".
We the undersigned believe and affirm that this kind of admitted activity, however recent or distant, should not be considered by Home Box Office, Inc. / Time Warner, Inc. as acceptable activity by anyone under contract with HBO. Ms. Dunham's show “Girls” is geared toward empowering female audiences, female body acceptance and promoting a pro-feminist environment. However her admitted sexual predatorial behavior is in contrast with this.
We the undersigned believe continued association between Ms. Dunham and Home Box Office, Inc. / Time Warner, Inc. reflects an attitude which condones or otherwise considers sexual abuse of minors as acceptable.
We the undersigned request cancellation without further compensation and a written, publicly disseminated letter of such cancellation and notice of Home Box Office, Inc. / Time Warner, Inc. non-approval of the admitted sexual abuses by Lena Dunham.
Sexual abuse of any kind continues to plague mankind. The last thing we need are people like Ms. Dunham being set up as examples of feminism, as a positive role model. This is especially troubling, considering Ms. Dunham openly admitted such illegal and harmful actions upon her younger sister, but defends and condones her own actions as well. This displays a flagrant disregard for the wellbeing of her own sister, much less an indirect condoning of Child-on-Child sexual abuse as “okay.”
We the undersigned hereby publicly renounce all support of Home Box Office, Inc. / Time Warner, Inc. until Ms. Dunham’s contract is terminated and her television series “Girls” is cancelled indefinitely.
Sincerely,
The Undersigned
