Remember your childhood trips to the beach on a hot summers day and your mam would give you a couple of pound for an ice cream? What else were you going to choose other than the ice cream of champions, the Cornetto Soft? The only question left was which flavour you would choose. I was a strawberry man myself. You'd stand eagerly watching as the shop owners teenage son or daughter would gracefully pull the lever forcing the container to release all it's tasty, iced goodness onto a cone, fitting for God himself. Simpler times. There is also a strong correlation between the decline of Cornetto Soft availability and the death of the Celtic Tiger. Coincidence? You'd be a fool to think so.
