It’s tradition! To not have this game would go against everything Haywood County! Generation after generation has participated in the biggest hometown rivalry! Not only does it bring our small towns together, it creates a lot of revenue needed by the athletic department and booster clubs that support a lot of great things. Spirit shirts is the largest fundraiser for cheerleaders, not to mention the band gets most of their funds from the concession stand that is designated to them.  Please don’t let this game go because of the new rules, find a safe for kids to play! Maybe see if the game can be held at Western if they will donate the field and the schools can split the funds. This is senior year for a lot of students, and to miss this would be heartbreaking. At the end of the day we are one county and we are friends! Fall or spring please let it happen!!
