We bought our lovely holiday home on the understanding that the owners outdoor pool shut after October 1/2 term only to discover it shut from today (4th September) until May next year!

It has been over 30° today & September looks set to be a hot month & it’s just ridiculous us owners & our chosen friends & family can’t enjoy the outdoor pool we pay for via the site fees.

The outdoor owners pool was a huge selling point for us as a family & it’s been so cruelly snatched away! 

I have communicated with other residents here at Rockley & on UK wide Haven community groups & many share the same bitter disappointment.

The reasons given for the closure just don’t cut it, they include:

- Weather dependency - no one can predict the weather, it’s generally mild temperatures until mid/end October, plus swimming in the rain can be fun, kids don’t care, they just want to have fun & we as owners should have the choice. 

- Lifeguard availability - apparently Haven chose to employ only student lifeguards - why? They could easily recruit lifeguards of any age/level through lifeguard agencies.

- Cost - we pay enough in site fees, this is not a valid reason!

Perhaps we share about this terrible customer service on all our social media platforms & contact local media, newspapers, TV etc? To protect & inform others.

Lets join together - we can collectively make a difference by signing this petition today - strength in numbers!! 

We can get an extra 8 weeks pool use if it shuts after October 1/2 term, like it did before - LETS DO THIS!!!
