Even though Sasha Calle was great as Supergirl in The Flash, she was used very poorly in the film and was cut from the ending of that film. As the first Latina Supergirl, she deserves way better. That's why it's very important to for her to play Supergirl again in the upcoming movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Just because this new Supergirl movie won't be about the one from The Flash doesn't mean they can't be played by the same actress.

If James Gunn and Peter Safran want their DC Universe to be better than the DC Extended Universe, they should still have Sasha Calle's Supergirl involved. There should be no debate about. Even Sasha Calle wants to play Supergirl again in Woman of Tomorrow and is a huge fan of the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic miniseries. If Warner Bros ever dared to cast anyone else as Supergirl in that upcoming movie, no one would go see it because Sasha Calle isn't in the role. Unless they cast another Latina actress as Supergirl in the new film, the new Supergirl will never be as special as Sasha Calle!

While it might take some time for more details of the new Supergirl film to be revealed, it's still very important for Sasha Calle to be involve. If Ryan Rynolds can play two different versions of Deadpool in the X-Men movies, Sasha Calle can pull off the same thing with Supergirl. While there are some sources saying that they might "more likely" have someone else play Supergirl in the new film, others have pointed out it could still be possible for Sasha Calle to play Supergirl once more including the director of the recent Flash movie Andy Muschietti. Sasha Calle has even discussed with Peter Safran about. True, the new Flash movie may have bombed pretty bad at the box office, but it doesn't mean there wasn't anything unlikable about its Supergirl. Besides, I consider what happened to her in the third act to be one of the reasons why The Flash bombed so hard in the first place. Even if anyone here doubts that Calle will play Supergirl again in Woman of Tomorrow, it should still happen, no matter what.
