A lot of people who watched Cyberpunk Edgerunners liked the character of Rebecca. If you're reading this, chances are you know of her untimely fate and are saddened by it.

As cathartic as the ending was however, you probably know there is a way for people to "come back" in Cyberpunk 2077, a way that is central to the story of the game. The following is a suggestion for CD Projekt given her popularity. Also, spoilers ahead!

What exactly is this? How could she be added?

Let's not beat around the bush: this is asking for pure fanservice, having a character come back from the dead because reasons. But then again, 2077 was hyped to the point of being the second coming of videogame-Jesus and is only now beginning to come around after a disastrous launch AND is seeing a new rise in player numbers. Gotta milk that anime cow, am I right, CD Projekt?

Backhanded jokes aside, it would be interesting to see a character with a design so far removed from Cyberpunk. An anime character in holographic form, the extreme of transhumanism, contrasted with a realistic landscape with normal people, could be an interesting concept. A DLC including - or even centered on - her could be fun.

How would she look?

Rebecca could come back with the same exact same design from the anime, with the reason being her modifications were that extensive. Some people could point at vtubers and certain virtual idols (of which I'm honestly not a fan) from today and ask what their Cyberpunk iteration could be, especially one who could have decided to look like that IRL.

An engram? Really? This won't work.

Well, that depends. That's how I imagine it, but CD Projekt Red is in charge so they could also decide to make her a zombie because she died on an ancient graveyard before thinking "man door hand hook car door" 3 times in reverse binary code. The ball is in their court, and they could just as likely decide to do nothing, even if this petition reaches a Rebeck-illion of signatures. It would be kind of funny though if it did that well.

If you sign this petition, you probably want Rebecca to fully come back as an engram or maybe just have a last hurrah. I would love to see her again, but as I've said: fanservice. If you sign this petition, you should sign it knowing fully well you're asking for essentially fanservice.

And whatever happens, DO NOT HARASS ANYONE FROM OR ASSOCIATED WITH CD PROJEKT AND/OR STUDIO TRIGGER OVER THIS. This should go without saying but nowadays people are that stupid. Such individuals stooping that low deserve only ridicule.
