THIS IS AN UPDATE TO THE INITIAL PETITION TO SAVE THE HART TRACT PROPERTY LOCATED IN DOYLESTOWN, BUCKS COUNTY PA. PLEASE READ, SIGN, AND SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!

This Public Hearing at Doylestown Township requires a repeal so that it can be rescheduled. Please sign. With no customary rules or procedures followed, Doylestown Township passed an ordinance on August 18 that permits development on historic properties over 20 acres in the Township (including Hart). No lawyer explained the amendment, no specific property mentioned and no statement as to why this was needed. (The origins of the ordinance in earlier meetings appeared to be from a developer's team.) The Supervisors skipped customary Public Hearing rules and procedures, and did not honor the need for two separate hearings - one for the zoning ordinance change and the other for the application for the Hart parcel. 

The Hart parcel is of great interest to the public but was not identified by name, address or parcel number on the posted Public Hearing agenda. Potential attendees may not have recognized that this would be heard. The many anomalies in the Township Public Hearing procedures prevented any consideration or exchanges with speakers offering opinions and potential solutions. With so many examples of violations of the standard rules of Public Hearings in a room packed full of attendees, it is urgent now to gather signatures for this petition in order to process an appeal for a professional hearing to be conducted.
