DID YOU KNOW SOUTH CAROLINA IS 1 of 2 STATES IN THE NATION THAT DOES NOT HAVE A HATE CRIME LAW? 48 out 50 states have passed a Hate Crime bill - what is the common denominator?

If you are a resident of South Carolina and you agree that the Hate Crime Bill (#3014) should be passed by our Senators - PLEASE CONTACT SC Senators Clerk Desk All emails and phone calls will be documented so that our voices CANNOT be denied. The Senators in the Upstate of SC (ie. Senator Richard Cash District 3) continue to vote against the Hate Crime Bill. I have personally spoken to Senator Cash, he is unable to separate Church and State when it comes to approving this Bill.

This is personal to me for many reasons, my father, Garry Dollahite, owns the oldest private gay club in the Southeast The Capital Club in Columbia, SC. In addition to that I founded StandingForStephen in October 2021 to raise money for Stephen Smith's family so they could purchase a headstone for him – 6 years after his death. Since then, Standing For Stephen has accomplished what it originally set out to do…but we are by no means done, getting this Hate Crime bill passed is the 2nd part of the journey.

StandingForStephen is begging the Senators of South Carolina to step up and do the right thing and pass this bill. We will not stop, we will not waiver, we will not allow for this to be swept under the rug any longer.
