Hasbro, please listen:

Many fans have been waiting to get their hands on a Jean Grey figure representing her look from the classic cartoon for a very long time. On March 22, Hasbro released a first look at their new animated Jean Grey figure, part of the X-Men Animated Retro line.

The reception was largely negative, with fans across Twitter, Instagram, and Reddit understandably upset with the wrong colors for the paints, inaccurate hair, unimaginative reuse of sculpts, etc. Many fans were posting that they would not be pre-ordering this figure, and were even considering cancelling their pre-orders for the previous animated figures based on their disappointment with this one. 

One fan, @conor_merriman, posted a mock-up they created showing the figure we could have, if Hasbro would implement only a few simple tweaks. A peach colored bodysuit, true red hair, and a better hair/head sculpt. Other fans have since been sharing that photo and begging Hasbro to take notice.

This petition serves to ask Hasbro to please fix this figure. Change the look of the figure to be more cartoon accurate, even if that means delaying the release date. Just a few changes would make a world of difference. Your motto for Hasbro Pulse is “Where Fans Come First.” Please show us that in action by listening to the feedback of your loyal fans and customers. Many collectors have invested a lot of money into these figures over the years; asking them to spend hard-earned money on a figure that looks as sub-par as this, feels like a slap in the face. We love Marvel Legends and appreciate the hard working and talented folks making them happen. We want to buy this figure, we’re just respectfully asking that you make this a figure worth buying.
