While the prices of Affordable houses have been rationalizing to let the middle class own a decent house, Stamp Duty charges are still the same, which is really hitting middle-class people.

After corona, middle-class people are the worst hit who have taken loans + have to pay rent + in many cases reduced salaries.

It is requested that Stamp Duty on Affordable housing either needs to be abolished or reduce it to make it affordable.

A similar initiative has already been taken by Karnataka Govt wherein they have reduced the stamp duty for affordable housing to 2% (compare to 5-6%).

There are currently 1 lakh affordable houses where almost 5 lakh people are going to get possession, we are hoping to have similar numbers in comings years, this shows that lakhs of first-time homeowners will get benefits out of it.
