Prohibit Ben Queen from profiting off Harrison County Schools activities
The Issue
Photographer and Harrison County House of Delegates member Ben Queen has unparalleled access to events (academic and athletic) held by Harrison County Schools. While Mr. Queen sells photographs taken at these events for profit, he continues to turn his back on the education system and his constituents in Harrison County. Mr. Queen has been contacted on countless occasions by constituents to oppose legislation that will divert funds from public education to charter schools. On many occasions, Mr. Queen refused to meet with or respond to his constituents. We are petitioning the Harrison County School Board to prohibit Mr. Queen from exclusive access to school functions that allow him to monopolize profiting from the students, parents, and teachers he continues to vote against. There are other professional photographers in the area that are capable of providing the same services.
