Cease all legal action and threats against Youtube-MP3.org
The Issue
Youtube-MP3.org is a free, safe website that is used to download MP3 versions of videos hosted on Youtube. Google wants to shut it down because they claim that it violates their terms of service. Sites like Youtube-MP3.org are very popular across the internet, and Philip Matesanz, the owner of the site, estimates that about 200,000,000 people use sites like his one. It is safe and inoffensive, but Google wants to shut it down, even though in Germany, Philip's home country and the country Youtube-MP3 is hosted from, the service is legal and recommended.
Google has often attested to being a user-oriented organization, but on this occasion, they have crossed the line from being supportive and friendly to oppressing the rights of their users, instead favoring their personal profit. Their actions are also hypocritical, as Google TV would allow people to record their favorite shows, as people have always been able to do. Youtube-MP3's service is no different.
