Harku Alevikus, Uue tänava Tammeallee taastamiseks.

Me ei saa ega taha Harku Aleviku arengut takistada, kuid me peame austatama ajalugu ja hoolitsema, ning hoidma seda ka järgnevate põlvkondade jaoks.

Harku Mõis on alustanud petitsiooni avalikuse huvides, taastamaks ajaloolist tammealleed Uuele tänavale millest üks pool nõugogude ajal likvideeriti tee laiendamiseks.

Ajaloost tagasi minnes aega kui Harku Mõis ehitati, ürikute kohaselt jääb see 1372. aastasse kui Liivi ordu loal püsitati esimene osa kivihoonest. Mõisahoone võttis oma renesannsliku kuju aastate jooksul olles erinevate perekondade valduses. Kuni 29. septembrini 1710. aastal oli Harku Mõis veel endiselt ainus hoone Harkus, ning ainus tee mõisa ja mõisaparki käis Uue tänava kaudu. Kahel pool tee ääres olid istutatud tammed.
Kahjuks nõugogude ajal ei hinnatud ajalugu piisavalt ja raiuti ühelt poolt teed tammed maha. Õnneks allesolevad puud teisel pool on tänaseks kaitse alla võetud.

Lühidalt kokkuvõttes uue paldiski maantee ringtee projekti järgi on vaid aja küsimus, millal Uus tänav on taas Harku aleviku visiitkaardiks kõikidele külalistele. Harku Mõis ei saa leppida ilma kooskõlastuse ja avaliku projektita tehtud tänava laiendusega, ning soovib taastada kunagise tammeallee 20 uue tamme istutamisega. Harku mõis on nõus andma oma maad tasuta, et ebaseaduslikult rajatav kõnnitee saaks rajatud teisele poole istutatavaid tammesid.

In Harku village, for the restoration of oak alley on Uus Street.

We cannot and do not want to hinder the development of Harku village, but we must respect and take care of history and preserve it for future generations.

Harku Manor has started a petition in the public interest to restore the historic oak alley to Uus Street, half of which was liquidated during the Soviet era to widen the road.

Going back in history to the time when Harku Manor was built, according to documents, it dates back to 1372, when the first part of the stone building was erected with the permission of the Livonian Order. The manor house took on its Renaissance shape over the years, being owned by different families. Until September 29, 1710, Harku Manor was still the only building in Harku, and the only road to the manor and manor park was through Uue Street. Oaks were planted on both sides of the road.

Unfortunately, during the Soviet era, history was underestimated and oaks were cut down on one side. Fortunately, the remaining trees on the other side have been protected today.

In short, according to the project of the new Paldiski mtn. ring road, it is only a matter of time before Uus Street will once again be the business card of Harku village for all guests. Harku Manor cannot accept the extension of the street made without the proper approval and publical project, and wants to restore the former oak alley by planting 20 new oaks. Harku manor agrees to give away its land free of charge so that an illegally built sidewalk can have oaks planted instead and the sidewalk can be built on the land other side of the planted oaks.
