In Hampton Township, the freshman class will continue in person learning going four days a week, but the start date for the senior class going back four days a week has been pushed back again. This is our last year of high school, and being in school is very important to us. This is our last year together and we all need to be in school together. We would like to see the freshman go back to the 2 day hybrid learning module while the seniors go back to school 4 days a week. We need the preparation for our future goals, and this is not being achieved in hybrid learning. Our academic needs are not being met only being in class 2 days a week. In order to be successful in our future plans, we need this extra in person time. Many people are struggling learning in the hybrid model due to insufficient instruction time. Many of our at home days are filled with teaching ourselves upper level classes. The stress of learning AP and CHS courses at home is overwhelming. These courses are designed for in person learning, and the extra time in class with the teachers would help us be more successful in them. This is also the last year for us to see many people we have gone to school with for years. Not only do we feel it is necessary to be in school 4days a week for academic reasons, we also feel it is important for our social and emotional well being.
