My name is James. I am a user of Hammersmith Bridge & it's bus services. Ever since Hammersmith Bridge was forced to close to vehicles back in April of 2019, TFL have been re-organising the bus network in & around the area! One of which included the 283 getting cut back to Hammersmith, Bus Station. Now at the time of this change, the 72 still went through Castelnau (Southern End of Hammersmith Bridge) and Barnes as the 283 change happened in 2017. However now you just have the 533 that is meant to provide a good service between Hammersmith, Castelnau and Barnes going via Chiswick Bridge, Mortlake & Barnes but unfortunately experiences major delays with buses running late or even sometimes no buses at all! For quite a bit of time, I have been trying my best to contact TFL to say "Look we need the 72 or 283 service extended from the North Side back to the southern end" All they say is we will try or something along the lines of that!

Ideally what I am saying here, is we need TFL to listen to what we are saying and to implement a bus service (For instance the 283) and extend that to the Southern End! 

My plans is that the 283 starts & finishes at White City Leisure Centre - Stop Bryony Road. (No longer serving East Acton) It would then follow Route 228 to White City Station whilst following the 72 down to Hammersmith and finally following the existing 533 to Barnes! 9am - 5pm the 283 would divert to Barnes, Wetlands Centre and at all other times terminate at Barnes Pond! This would fully withdraw the 533 and at all times the 283 would serve Barnes via Chiswick Bridge.
